Judicial review
I have applied for judicial review (prerogative writs) in the Supreme Court of Western Australia (Nairn v Metro Central JDAP [2016] WASC 56 (led by Martin Cuerden SC)) and appeared for applicants in judicial review applications to the Federal Circuit Court.
Other
- I appeared as counsel for the respondent in a Supreme Court review order proceeding (Re an Application under the Magistrates Court Act 2004; ex parte Bartholomew [2008] WASC 52).
- I represented amicus curiae in the Court of Appeal in litigation about the CCC’s powers: Ex Parte WA Newspapers (2008) 38 WAR 177 (led by State Counsel, GTW Tannin SC).
- I represented the Attorney-General acting for the interests of unborn children in an estate action in the Supreme Court (Public Trustee, as Executor for Fiedler v Fiedler [2007] WASC 296).
- I appeared in the District Court in appeals from decisions of the Assessor of Criminal Injuries Compensation.
